Last weekend I received 3 packages full of lovely gifts from great swap pals. I've decided it would be best to write a dedicated post for each.
I received my tea swap package and let me tell you Carol completely spoiled me! Her thoughtfulness as my partner has been incredible. She not only sent me a heartfelt package at the beginning of the swap, but then ended with this amazing box of treats.
I can tell Carol spent some time getting to know me a choosing wonderful treats of many things I enjoy. Let me share in the happiness...
First the tea. There was some Rose Black, Pacific Breakfast (which I've brought to work) and some chamomile (always a favorite). She also made me some vanilla sugar which I have hid from Grant so that I have it all to my self (at least for now). Next was this cute little box, which I hoped was cleverly hiding something sweet and when I opened it I was happy to find lavender tea cookies! I can't wait to try these! Next were some treats to use when I take a moment to relax. Some bath beads and an eye mask...what? You think they would go perfectly with the chamomile tea? Me too! She also made (?) me the cutest little hankie pouch for when I get the sniffles, which if anyone knows me is just about everyday. And something else to enjoy when I'm head back in the bath, tea in one hand and what else but chocolate in the other. Carol found some great tea infused chocolate which I can't wait to try and she sent a nibby bar, which I brought for lunch today AND she found some black tea gum - pretty cool, huh?! Lastly, the luscious, yummy yarn. Two beautiful skeins of Manos, in a awesome color way of red, blue, burgundy, gold and two skeins of cascade 220 (a personal favorite for my felted purses) in the rich blue color. Oh, and she also sent two patterns, the My So Called Scarf which I happen to be knitting right now and a pattern for a cute little shrug, perfect for DC weather.
Again, thank you Carol for being a great pal, and to Suzie for setting it all up. I hope there will be a KTS3!
