Today Grant and I met up with other members from All Souls and many other Unitarians from around the US. It was a beautiful day - much warmer than it has been in the last week or so. Many people joined up in this march to end the war in Iraq and to bring the troops home. I read varied participant numbers between 100,000 and 400,000. I'm not sure which was accurate, but there were a lot of people. We'll have to see if an impact was made.
I'm so glad you were there. We were having an interesting conversation at the wedding with a naval officer who just got back from Iraq, hearing his take on the whole thing and some of what's happening in the army because they've run out of infantry. So, I like to think I was being educated even though I couldn't march.

I'm glad you went, I didn't make it. I hope it also has an effect, we'll have to see about that.
